Available on Demand: CoreDX DDS Multiplexor Webinar

September 12, 2023 - 9am MST

Join us to learn about the CoreDX DDS Multiplexor - a tool that bridges between networks and DDS Domains, providing sophisticated and dynamic DDS bridging, transformation, and aggregation features. This webinar will highlight various DDS architectures where the CoreDX DDS Multiplexor may be employed.

Like all CoreDX DDS products, the CoreDX DDS Multiplexor is designed to use a minimal amount of system resources, and is built to be interoperable with any DDS product that complies with the DDS RTPS wire protocol standard. The CoreDX DDS Multiplexor provides systems designers with maximum control over their DDS publications and subscriptions.

The webinar will be available soon on our website. You can browse our webinar library to learn more about DDS and technical concepts here.

Meet us at the FACE and SOSA Consortium in Atlanta, GA. September 18-19, 2023

The 2023 FACE and SOSA Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) and Expo will feature expert presentations and demos by a cross-section of the defense community and industry. Attendees will hear presentations from industry and government, detailing the positive impact of FACE adoption for buyers (end users), suppliers, integrators, and business representatives, including both Business and Technical lessons learned. Technology Interchange Meetings allow DoD, Industry, and Academia to collaborate on Research and Engineering technology challenges.

The Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) Consortium will feature demonstrations from both industry and government FACE members, covering all segments of the FACE solution stack, running on the world's most advanced multi-core hardware. These solutions will prove the value of open standards-based systems that encourage innovation, and will increase quality, accelerate airworthiness, and speed deployment of critical, advanced technologies to our warfighters.

Twin Oaks Computing will be present to answer your DDS questions at booth #817

CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks

Welcome to this month's edition of CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks, where our engineers provide quick bits of information to help our customers.

When to use a Time Based Filter?

Time based filters can be an effective tool when processing topics with periodic or streaming data. The time base filter is a minimum separation time between received samples in each instance. This filter is configured and applied at the DataReader, and limits the number of received samples delivered to the reading applications.

For example, a configured time based filter of 1 second will deliver samples to the reading application no more frequently than 1 sample per instance in each second. Any intermediate samples that are published from matched writers are not delivered to the reading application.

Filtered samples are discarded before de-serialization on the reader end (reducing CPU resources) and not added to the DataReader cache (reducing RAM resources).

CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks are intended to be useful for engineers using CoreDX DDS. If you have any questions, please contact us.
