Webinar available on demand: CoreDX DDS: Enhancing the Python Ecosystem

CoreDX DDS is a robust, easy to use, flexible, and secure cross platform communication middleware. Integrating the high performance CoreDX DDS infrastructure into the Python environment brings a powerful development tool into the Python toolset.

The Python programming language is simple, free, easy to use, and is becoming increasingly popular across a variety of academic and commercial domains, including web development, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. With numerous libraries and frameworks available, Python can be used to rapidly prototype any kind of software.

Join us to learn about the CoreDX DDS Python API, including live demonstrations with code examples. We'll show you how easy it is to use Python to publish DDS topics.

CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks

Welcome to this month's edition of CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks, where our engineers provide quick bits of information to help our customers.

What is the maximum number of DDS (fill in the blank) allowed by CoreDX DDS?

CoreDX DDS does not put limitations on the number of DomainParticipants, Topics, Subscribers, DataReaders, Publishers, or DataWriters that may be created by a system. A system designer is limited only by the computing resources available (memory, CPU, bandwidth) and the performance requirements for delivering messages.

There is a limit to the number of DDS Domains allowed. The DDS specifications limit the number of DDS Domains to 230. However, in some environments (Linux, for one) where higher Domain ID's result in port numbers that conflict with ephemeral ports.

There is also a limit to the number of DomainParticipants that may be created by one application. CoreDX DDS limits the application to creating 120 DomainParticipants. Again, this is the number allowed by *each* application. There is no limit to the number of DomainParticipants within a DDS Domain.

CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks are intended to be useful for engineers using CoreDX DDS. If you have any questions, please contact us here.

Thank you for visiting us at I/ITSEC

Twin Oaks Computing would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth at I/ITSEC in Orlando, Florida. This annual Interservice/Industry Training Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) showcases simulation, education, modeling and training technology for the exchange of information among industry, the military, and the educational communities.
