Edge Intelligence and Beyond, Transforming Systems with DDS - Webinar on Demand

Discover how the Data Distribution Service (DDS) can revolutionize your software architecture. This webinar will provide an in-depth look at the architectural advantages of DDS over MQTT and OPC UA, illustrating its impact on system design, performance, scalability, and real-time decision-making at the edge. Ideal for software architects seeking to leverage middleware solutions to optimize industrial automation and other complex, data-centric applications.

This webinar will cover:

  • What is DDS
  • DDS vs. MQTT and OPC UA
  • Enabling Next-Generation Architecture at the Edge
  • Real-Time Decision Making at the Edge
  • DDS in Industrial Automation
  • Designing with DDS: Best Practices

CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks

Welcome to this month's edition of CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks, where our engineers provide quick bits of information to help our customers.

Which CoreDX DDS libraries should you link with your application?

The CoreDX DDS distributions include a number of component libraries that may be used depending on the specific DDS features required by the application. Just linking all libraries available for a particular language binding will result in linking errors or undefined behavior at run-time, so it is important to be selective.

In particular, only link in ONE of the following 'core' libraries:

  • dds
  • dds_cf
  • dds_log
  • dds_cf_log

Fore more information, check out the CoreDX DDS programmer's guide, Chapter 5 Advanced Compile Options.

CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks are intended to be useful for engineers using CoreDX DDS. If you have any questions, please contact us.
