CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks Welcome to this month's edition of CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks, where our engineers provide quick bits of information to help our customers. Inconsistent Topic: Most developers know about the incompatible QoS statuses (requested_incompatible_qos on DataReaders and offered_incompatible_qos on DataWriters). These statuses alert the application of a QoS mismatch between a DataReader and DataWriter on the same topic. The inconsistent topic status is similar, but looks at the compatibility of the data types used by a DataReader and DataWriter on the same topic. This status is associated with a Topic, and should be checked, along with incompatible QoS statuses, on the Topic associated with both the DataReader and DataWriter. If data types are incompatible, the DataReader and DataWriter will not match, the same way a reader and writer won't match if their QoS policies are incompatible. CoreDX DDS Tips & Tricks are intended to be useful for engineers using CoreDX DDS. If you have any questions, please contact us.
